Amanab language

On this page I present my little love poem translated into Amanab (Dera Eri), one of the eight Waris languages (Amanab, Waina, Imonda, Simog, Waris, Daonda, Senggi, Manem).

Amanab is a Papuan language of Papua New Guinea, spoken in the province of Sandaun (Western Sepik), which is part of the district of Amanab.

There are probably no more than 5,000 people spread over a few dozen villages, who speak all the dialects of Amanab (East, West, North).

The eastern and western dialects are the closest.. as for the northern one, if it is closer to the western dialect, it is also the one with the fewest speakers.
